About 50 per cent of workers in the UK are becoming increasingly doubtful of their ability to afford adequate healthcare when they retire, a new piece of research has found.
Concerns of health in old age could lead more people to seek out equity release advice in order to find out about the financial options available to them.
James Glover from Simplyhealth said: "It's apparent that times are changing and that individuals and families will not be able to rely solely on public services such as the NHS to take care of their health."
This added concern could raise the financial burden felt by many in the UK, causing more people to turn towards equity release loans.
Recently, findings made public by market analyst Callcredit Information Group revealed that more than 65 per cent of people did not discuss their financial worries with their banks and building societies.
